The purpose of the Sector Skills Agreement is to bring
employers, trade unions, government and providers together to take
action on the key skills issues that affect productivity and
competitiveness.
The agreements allow all parties to collaborate together to
create an evidence-based skills need assessment. They map out
exactly the skills that employers need their workforce to have to
ensure maximum productivity and competitiveness, and how these
skills will be supplied.
