Biography - Hedley Hazell
Hedley joined the Company on 1 January 2000
from the automotive industry. Hedley spent 18 months as
Managing Director – Fan Systems, before moving to the equivalent
role in Turbine Systems in August 2003, being appointed UK
Operations Director – Civil Aerospace in May 2009.
Hedley was born on 16 March 1960 near Swindon,
England. He joined Rover Group in 1976 as an
apprentice. On completion of this apprenticeship, he spent 4
years as a Toolmaker.
After two years as an Industrial
Engineer, Hedley moved into management within Rover Group,
Oxford.
Hedley progressed from the position of
Production Manager, through to Managing Director, over a period of
12 years. All of his experience during this period was gained
in manufacturing roles. During this time he achieved a
Masters Degree in business Administration from the University of
the West of England.
Hedley is married and currently lives in
Lichfield, Staffordshire.
