Date published: 15 December 2008
Response due: 30 April 2009
Semta response submitted: 30 April 2009

Summary

The Scottish Government has set aside £30m for 2010 / 2011 to either increase the amount of financial support available to full-time undergraduates, or to reduce their levels of debt on graduation.

This consultation sets out a range of options for this funding and also raises questions about funding of second degrees.

Next steps

Semta responded, calling for increased funding for students of those subjects key to science and engineering employers - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
