Setting the standard for subjects in Higher Education
Summary
QAA is consulting on the revised process for recognition for new
subject benchmark statements. These subject benchmark statements
provide the threshold standards for higher education in particular
subjects. The consultation runs until 2nd of July. See our webpage
on the consultation here.
Semta View
Semta will be considering its response, particularly in the
light of the emergence of new technologies in our footprint, and
the likelihood of the requirement for benchmark statements for
these new subjects. We welcome employer views on how new subject
benchmark statements should be developed and approved.
