2006/7 Labour Market Survey of GB
Engineering Sectors
This report is the initial result of 5129 employer interviews
conducted by telephone between December 2006 and February 2007. It
contains data to provide a GB wide picture of employment in the
Engineering Sectors and provide an informed overview of labour
market issues with particular focus on recruitment, skills and
training.
Pharmaceutical and Bioscience
Labour Market Survey
The Pharmaceutical and Bioscience Labour Market Survey collected
data from 178 sites in the sector, employing nearly 27,500 people.
Overall the picture that emerges is of a sector that encompasses a
wide range of companies in a number of distinct sub-sectors, from
large multinational enterprises to micros with fewer than 10
employees. The sector is growing and has a high level of
recruitment activity.

(NESS07) is the fourth national employers skills survey
commissioned by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) (Report
published 2008). This document is a summary of responses from
Semta employers.
